2017 summer day camp

BCRD Day Camp is designed to keep kids active and engaged all summer long. Campers are in activity groups, based on age, where they participate in sports, outdoor adventures, cooperative games, and arts & crafts.  This recreation-based camp encourages kids to experience new activities, make new friends, and develop healthy habits.

Explorer Camp: 1st-2nd Grade 
Discovery Camp: 3rd-4th Grade
Challenger Camp: 5th-7th Grade

Challenger Day Camp:
The Challenger Camp are geared towards campers going into the 5-7 grades.  With a new base camp at the Volleyball courts near the pool, these campers will feel more independent and confident. The program offers a variety of games, outdoor activities, swimming and adventures that will build life skills.

Discovery Day Camp:
The Discovery Day Camp is geared towards campers going into the 3rd and 4th grades. Based in the HUB at the Community Campus, these Campers will participate in a variety of games, outdoor activities, swimming and adventures that will build life long skills.


Explorer Day Camp:

The Explorer Camp are geared towards campers going into the 1st and 2nd grades. Based in the HUB at the Community Campus, these campers will participate in a variety of games, outdoor activities, swimming and adventures that will build life skills.

Based out of the HUB, in the Community Campus, in Hailey, Idaho. We are often out and about using many of the outdoor resources the Wood River Valley has to offer.

fun fridays
Travel to local destinations for fun and adventure. Register early as bus seating is limited.


what to bring
  • appropriate clothing for being outside, including sturdy shoes
  • day pack
  • swimsuit and towel
  • sunscreen and hat
  • a lunch, 2 healthy snacks (purchase of lunch is not available. Snack purchase options all $1 or less)
  • water (sugary drinks or soda are not allowed at camp)
  • a bike and helmet on bike days (campers that know how to ride a bike are encouraged to bring their own bike)
Please leave all toys, electronics and anything valuable at home. *The BCRD is not responsible for any lost, stolen and broken valuables.*

Bike, Park & Pool Days
In order for campers to make the most out of their summer, each camp will have an opportunity to get out and enjoy our beautiful valley. One day a week kids will ride their bikes and one day a week we partner with Mountain Rides to get around the valley.


Swim Team and Swim Lessons
Our staff chaperone your child to and from swim team practice and swim lessons during the week.  Please let our staff know the session and time of your child's swim lesson.  This is a great opportunity to have your child learn water safety and skills that will last a lifetime in a way that makes it convenient for you.
