About the Community Campus
The Community Campus is a multi-use facility, enhancing the quality of
life for area residents through education, recreation, and culture.
The Blaine County
Recreation District, along with the Blaine County School District #61
and the College of Southern Idaho, transformed the former Wood River
High School into the Community Campus. Additional partners include Wood
River Gymnastics, Footlight Dance Centre, Sun Valley Summer Symphony,
Children’s Music Conservatory, Hailey Chamber of Commerce, and the Sun
Valley Center for the Arts.
Facilities that are available and open to the public include:
• classrooms
• meeting rooms
• theatre/auditorium (seats 575)
• swimming pool
• dance studio
• gymnasium
• gymnastics room
• the Hub Youth Center
• Internet Café (lunch, snacks, espresso, web access)
• catering
Space for meetings, conferences, and special events is available to rent, as are a variety of catering options.
Providing this
valuable facility comes at a cost; in fact, maintenance and utilities
cost the BCRD more than $100,000 every year. Donations are vital –
